This trimmer is brand new in box and has never been used. I purchased this item from Amazon and intended to give it as a gift, but never got around to it and I'm no longer able to return it for a refund. However, I do have a gift receipt that I will include with the trimmer so that you still get the balance of the 3-year manufacturer's warranty. Since it was purchased at the end of October last year, there are still 2 years and 4 months of warranty left. Amazon is selling it for $100 plus taxes, so at $80, that's a savings of $33 and you still get the benefit of a warranty.
