1997 Charles Woodson Michigan Wolverines Nike Home Authentic Jersey Sz 52 Sir Charles Woodson is on the short list of the greatest college football players of all time. He was a dominant athlete for the Michigan Wolverines in the late 90s. Much like Deion Sanders before him he played on both sides of the ball but excelled on defense. His 1997 season was his crowning achievement of his amateur career. He helped lead the Wolverines to their last National Championship and cemented himself in Michigan and college football lore with his performance against Ohio St that helped seal the Heisman trophy for Woodson. He still remains the first and only primarily defensive player to win the award. In 1997 Woodson collected a myriad of accolades including 1st team All Big-Ten and All-American. He won the Bronko Nagurski Trophy and the Jim Thorpe award for best defensive player and defensive back to go along with the ‘97 Heisman trophy. Few were as acclaimed as Woodson and even fewer did it better. Shown here is Woodson retail authentic jersey straight from 1997. Complete with 100% nylon mesh body, nylon/spandex side panels and made in the USA. Numbers are heavy duty painted on just like Woodson wore for the Wolverines. Jersey tagging inside shows F7 model # which places it in their 1997 championship year. Size is a 52 which is an adult XXL. Measures 30.5" top to bottom and 24" pit to pit. Jersey is in excellent condition for a 27 year old jersey. Only flaw I would point out is you can notice the place where the Michigan "M" logo was (see last pic). As the defending College Football National Champions - Michigan pageantry has never been higher. Grab this essential part of UM history as the Wolverines set to defend their title.
