2 chairs available. $250 for one or both for $450. Elegant antique Empire style armchair is constructed from cream-painted wood with gilded accents. The piece has brown velvet upholstery on the seat and backrest. The armrests terminate in carved, gilded dolphin heads. The frame features neoclassical motifs including a fluted top rail and floral carvings on the front apron. The chair stands on tapered square saber legs with metal caps on the feet. Condition: good antique condition, commensurate with age and use. Paint has chips and some scuffing. Upholstery has minor tears at two seams. Two foot caps are missing from one chair and one from the other. Seats were rebuilt at some point so the springs are in good shape and the seats are comfortable. Pickup in Boerum Hill.
