Modern Arabic bestsellers by Egyptian authors from the 2024 Cairo International Book Festival. ١. ميلانوڤيا - أحمد الجلاد دار الرسم بالكلمات Genre: Historical fiction, Sci fi ٢. أحلام نائل سويدان - أحمد عبد العزيز دار دوّن Genre: Comedy, Social commentary, Sci fi They're both unserious fictional works (blurbs photographed). They were quite popular at the book fair and on social media but I didn't like them very much; perhaps you might like them better Note that the Naael Sweidan book has a rough cut at the top, other edges are fine (see photos). Second book is fine aside from the way the price sticker was removed, also photographed (I bought it that way; book fair prices are probably different to the book store price 🤷‍♂️). You can have both for $10. Pick up is from in front of the Charlie Social House by Fort York & Spadina.
