Canada was a center for furniture manufacturing because of its hardwood forests. 1920's solid walnut dresser from Kilgour and Bro. Kilgour started in 1863 in Beauharnois Que near Montreal. Became well known for making high quality solid wood furniture until it closed in 1977. Sensitively restored without removing patina in respect for its 100+ year old history. Smooth running drawers. Victorian touches like the drawer cartouche and turned legs. Gold metal handles. 32" (82 cm) wide, 17.5" (45 cm) deep, 44" (102 cm) tall Solid wood back panels attests to its vintage.
