Vintage 1999 Trek 8000 18" mountain bike frameset Manitou fork

Vintage 1999 Trek 8000 18"(size M) frameset with double butted Alpha SL Aluminium (or aluminum) tubing. This was the last year where these frames were still made in the USA at Trek's Waterloo factory. Comes with Manitou SX suspension fork (70mm travel), Dia-Compe Aheadset, Shimano Deore LX top pull / top swing front derailleur, and cartridge square taper bottom bracket. Can throw in a matching blue Trek water bottle cage as well if desired (seat post in photo NOT included). Frame has acquired a bit of patina, but there are no cracks or dents, mostly just superficial scratches. And the tiny metal flakes in the paint still sparkle. Forks are smooth, rebounds nicely with no slop. Headset is smooth, as is the BB and FD works beautifully. Would make a great vintage / retro / old school classic MTB restomod project or a cafe cruiser / rat cruiser / commuter build.
