I put a title on the top which said: “You’ve Got Mail!” and every student knew to go to their pocket right at the start of class and get their ‘mail’ to catch up on missed work, tests missed, marked tests, or for letters or trip forms to take home to parents. Can also be used as an extra credit centre where students can take a worksheet in a specific subject area and work independently at their own pace if they finish work early or as a learning centre in general for quiet time.
