Blue and white vines, blossoms and birds are perched on branches surrounding a center star of David. The six heart shaped dishes hold each of the symbolic foods eaten at the Seder. The original plate was confiscated when the owners were sent to Nazi concentration camps. Villeroy & Boch was commissioned to produce this Seder plate to honor their memories. There was an exhibition of The Czechoslovakian Precious Legacy State Collection items at the Smithsonian Institute in Washington DC in 1983.
