Handmade Rug-Hooked Cushion: Large Vintage/Antique, ROM Restored

This is a large cushion made from a 19" x 19" rug that was hand-made by my great grandmother around 1920 in Belgium. My mother had this professionally restored by a Senior Conservator for Textiles at the ROM at a cost of several hundred dollars. The Conservator said it was an exceptional piece. At the ROM, it was thoroughly cleaned, and received new filling and backing. Somewhere I may have the Conservator's itemized bill where she lists everything she did and the materials she used (I'll keep looking and add photos if I find it). Details: ◉ Thick soft 100% wool pile in deep, rich, classic shades that go with Persian carpets and book-lined studies. ◉ Velvet back (midnight blue). ◉ Rug (Front & Sides) hand-made around 1920 (Vintage / Antique). ◉ Filling and velvet back are recent from the 2000s. 📏 Size: This is a large, thick cushion: 19" wide x 19" high x 7" thick. 📷 See all 10 photos (shown on a standard 3-seater couch). ✔️ It is now in outstanding condition. Has been only very gently used since restoration. ✔️ From a smoke-free, perfume-free, pet-free, pest-free adult home. ❤️ I'd love this to go to a home where it will be cared for (i.e. prefer it not end up as a dog bed).
