Rare MCM Bitossi Ceramic Basket Weave Design Large Bowl

Authentic, rare mid-century modern Italian art pottery large centrepiece bowl designed by legendary art director Aldo Londi for Bitossi Ceramiche (circa 1950s/1960s).This beautiful ceramic piece features a hand-incised geometric "basket weave" pattern using the traditional Sgraffito technique, emulating classic woven tribal basketry in rich, warm earth tones. Hand painted details. The bottom retains a rare original vintage paper label: - The official Rosenthal Netter Inc. export label (the premier US importer of fine Italian ceramics at the time). - The vintage Amram’s Toronto distributor label, confirming its historic entry into the Canadian luxury housewares market - Includes handwritten shape/model production number: 278/6 Size - 12.5” diameter, 2.5” tall Condition - good vintage condition with minor signs of use.
