70s Vintage Rosewood Sofa from Art Shoppe | Percival Lafer Style
$1,695
An exceptional three-seat sofa from the 1970s, featuring a substantial rosewood-toned wooden frame, dramatic architectural legs and generously sculpted upholstery.
Purchased new from Toronto’s prestigious Art Shoppe in the 1970s and acquired directly from the original owners, who kept it for over 50 years.
The striking silhouette is reminiscent of Brazilian modernist furniture in the style of Percival Lafer, combining a beautifully crafted wooden frame with deep, enveloping upholstered seating.
Professionally reupholstered in a richly textured cream fabric, maintaining its original sculptural character. There is a small tear in the fabric at one of the creases.
