This is an antique Early American Pattern Glass (EAPG) open compote in the Fulton pattern, also known as Martha's Tears. The pattern was introduced around 1889. It features a scalloped or sawtooth rim and a design often referred to as "Noonday Sun" or "Saw Tooth Bottom" on the base. Made of clear, heavy-weighted pressed glass. EAPG items are highly collectible antique glass pieces. Compotes were traditionally used for serving fruits, candies, jellies, or desserts, and are popular today for centerpieces or general decor. Measurements approximately: 5.75” in height and 6.75” in diameter. Pre-owned. Pickup is 58th and 7th Ave in midtown Manhattan.
