Pair of Vintage Ceramic Foo Dogs / Guardian Lions

Striking pair of vintage ceramic Foo Dogs, also known as Guardian Lions, in a beautiful classic turquoise colour. Traditionally, these guardian figures are associated with protection, prosperity and good fortune. The male and female duo feature traditional decorative detailing, with one resting a paw on a ball and the other accompanied by a cub. Both sit on square plinths with stylized detailing. A beautiful statement pair for a shelf, mantel, entryway or display cabinet, with a timeless Asian-inspired decorative look. Great vintage/pre-owned condition overall.
