Singer 15-90 Sewing Machine S/N JC287636 Date Built 1948 Made in Canada Stitch & Needle: Performs a straight stitch only and uses standard 15x1 needles (threaded right-to-left ) and Class 15 bobbins. Reverse feed lever and adjustable stitch length regulator (ranging from approximately 6 to 30 stitches per inch). These are easy and inexpensive to get at sewing stores, Amazon etc. Has a new belt, it runs super smooth and makes nice stitches. Ideal machine for every day repairs, great for denim upcycling , superb on jeans, canvas, it handles light-to-medium fabrics like cotton, wool, and thin garment leather well. It's not an industrial sewing machine, but as close as you can get without spending a boat full of money and fits in any home. This machine is 78 years old but in nice display and shape. It will easily last another 78. A beautiful little piece of functional art. The cabinet is a Singer type 47, showing beautiful burl walnut and although old it really shows well. It's small measuring in inches 23 wide, 17 deep, 31 tall, and when opened the working width is 46 inches
