Vintage Thai temple musicians.
9” and 7” tall with stands.
Asking $60 for the pair.
These are in good vintage condition. They are finely detailed, with traditional dress and instruments, and have aged bronze-brown tone with touches of natural green patina.
One or both appear to be lost-wax castings, a traditional method where each piece is individually made, giving them subtle differences and unique character. The one figure has an open, uneven underside typical of older hand-cast work; the other shows glue residue from an old felt or wood base. I am assuming the bases are not original but am unsure.
