Up for auction is a gorgeous vintage porcelain lidded sugar bowl crafted by the renowned British pottery firm James Sadler & Sons. This highly collectible piece features Sadler's iconic "sunshine swirl" ribbed body, beautifully balancing heavy gold gilded panels with alternating ivory bands decorated in an intricate gold floral chintz filigree pattern. The lid is crowned with Sadler’s signature molded gold ribbon/bow finial.
The bottom features the authentic impressed/debossed "SADLER ENGLAND" maker's mark, the handwritten pattern number 2822, and the original artisan's hand-painted decorator initials ("jc").
