18" tall Chinese porcelain vase from Jingdezhen featuring a hand-decorated "beauties in a garden" scene (仕女图) — two elegant court ladies among peonies, chrysanthemums, and scholar's rockery. Neck and shoulder have an attractive mottled blue-brown crystalline glaze effect. Reverse side carries a classical poem inscription, with a red Jingdezhen seal mark on the base.
