Large Signed Mother & Child Studio Sculpture – Unglazed Clay

Striking signed studio sculpture depicting a seated mother nursing her child, executed in unglazed clay with a beautifully textured, earthy finish. This substantial piece has a warm, modernist folk-art feel. Standing approximately 15 inches tall, the sculpture is exceptionally heavy and solidly made. The artist’s signature is present on the base, though difficult to decipher. Likely a late 20th-century studio work. Condition is good overall, with one small chip to a corner of the base (shown in photos). The main figure remains intact and displays beautifully.
