Dated January 1974, hand-numbered 58/150, and pencil signed by the artist. The seller’s friend met Clarence Wells in 1974 while he was creating this piece and can confirm its authenticity. Features a strong black and red formline design depicting a traditional sea monster. A striking vintage Indigenous artwork from the 1970s. Approximate framed size is 26” x 23”. Image size is approximately 15” x 13”. Artwork is in very good vintage condition with no rips, tears, or repairs, showing even age-related toning to the paper. The backing paper has water staining on the reverse only, which does not affect the front presentation. The frame shows light cosmetic wear consistent with age. Local pickup preferred.
