Double Bass Pedal - PDP

Original beaters and springs included. Great for a beginner just getting into double bass drumming; struggles in more advanced levels. The previous owner drilled a notch into the rocker shaft for the left rocker to be more locked in place, in turn making the beater more responsive. This did not work long term. Over a lot of usage and time, the screw/tension rod holding the rocker in the notch started grinding the metal away and is no longer a snug and locked fit. This hasn't completely affected the spring tension, but it also hasn't made it particularly easy to play double bass with. In simple terms, playing consistent double bass on this pedal will be more challenging than on other pedals. This was my first pedal, and even when I was practicing every day, there was always a barrier I couldn't quite cross. My double bass was sloppy but still passable until I upgraded. Playing on this pedal made going to a normal pedal with proper rebound feel like taking off a 100lb weight suit. I don’t think my left foot for double bass would be as developed if it wasn't for this pedal. In my honest opinion, I think this is a good starter double bass pedal. The right beater is perfectly fine.
