Antique Russian Brass Samovar 1898 Batashev

Rare, very beautiful Russian coal, brass samovar from 1898 made in Batashev factory in imperial Tula. In amazing condition with all original parts. 7 liters. Fully functional and tested, can make amazing tea. With brass tray & chimney. No cracks, dents or leaks. I have an extra handmade chimney for even better function when heated with coals or small firewood. Brothers Vasily and Alexander Batashevs were real "samovar kings" in Tula before the Revolution. This samovar is marked on the lid "Partnership of steam samovar factory of heirs Vasily Stepanovich Batasheva in Tula" with medals. There is also a stamp that the metal is nickelized. Magnificent high quality antique Russian samovar. The long spout has a stylized design with a very ornate spout plug. Folkloric original vertical handles show some age. Wooden parts have some minor chips and scrapes. Figured decorative feet. 22'' tall x 15'' width with handles. In excellent condition overall considering its age with patina.
