Here is a rare opportunity to own a top of the line model from Seiko! Essentially a Grand Seiko (made after the Grand Seiko's were discontinued until the 1990's.) Features a "diamond dust" dial that is quite stunning. The 4843 is an exceptionally crafted quartztimepiece - a favorite among watchmakers! Its production spanned just four years, making it increasingly coveted among collectors. In its debut year of 1975, only three models of the Grand Quartz reigned supreme alongside the Quartz V.F.A: the 8000, 8010, and 8020. No other GQ calibers were introduced. This has a special Seiko feature almost exclusive to this model of quartz- the "jumping seconds hand". This means that it will jump ahead to the nearest tens of seconds when you pull the crown to adjust the time. The Grand Quartz operates within specifications, day/date works perfectly. In my experience, these single quartz timepieces are among the most accurate vintage watches. The early Grand Quartz models truly stand out for their excellence. Crystal is in flawless shape. Dial is in stunning mint condition. Case has some wear to base metal on the sides, but doesn't take away from the great looks on this completely unpolished watch. Has original signed crown. Has both Kanjii and English day/date. Comes on the very hard to find original Grand Quartz watch strap. Selling for $325. Model Number: 4843-8100 (+/- 5s/month) Width: 35mm (37mm including crown) Lug to Lug: 42mm Thickness: 9mm
