Dagmara Kwiatek Kraków Matted Gallery Print Artwork

Infuse your home with a striking piece of European fine art with this spectacular architectural depiction of Krakow, Poland, by the highly acclaimed Polish painter and graphic artist Dagmara Kwiatek. Measuring a versatile 15 inches wide by 10 inches tall including the olive green mat, this piece looks absolutely phenomenal showcased as an edgy, atmospheric focal point on a mid-century sideboard, a minimalist shelf, or anchoring a moody gallery wall. The composition captures the historic domes and steeples of Krakow, masterfully moving away from a stark black-and-white look to reveal beautiful, even layers of warm cream, soft ochre, and subtle sepia undertones that flow seamlessly through both the textured sky and the dense, dark architectural shadows. This rich, multi-toned palette creates a spectacular visual harmony that beautifully complements the earth tones of the surrounding olive mat. This exhibition-grade gallery print carries elite collector preservation, remaining completely untouched and safely preserved inside its original, unbroken gallery-sealed protective plastic sleeve. This beautiful artwork carries remarkable historical provenance, featuring the artist's original studio stamp and authentic backing label from her workshop in Poland. The label documents that the master image was executed in the incredibly rare, labor-intensive 19th-century darkroom technique known as the Gum Bichromate printing process. This historic method requires hand-coating heavy paper with a light-sensitive emulsion of gum arabic, potassium bichromate, and raw pigments before exposing it via a contact negative and washing it by hand. This high-quality gallery reproduction gorgeously captures the unique, atmospheric textures and hand-brushed depth of the artist’s original historic printmaking style.
