Vintage Mexican Folk Art Deer Painting

Large Vintage Mexican Folk Art Deer Painting on Amate Bark Paper – Professionally Framed Up for auction is a stunning, vibrant piece of authentic Mexican Amate Bark Painting (Pintura sobre Papel Amate). This large-format, traditional folk art piece features a highly stylized white deer intricately painted alongside whimsical, brilliantly colored flora and patterned blossoms. The artwork is created using bright acrylics on handmade amate paper, an ancient Mesoamerican medium meticulously crafted from the boiled and pounded bark of wild fig or mulberry trees. The natural, fibrous brown texture of the bark contrasts beautifully against the neon-bright palette of the painting. This is an exceptionally large, gallery-quality presentation compared to the standard small tourist sheets typically found on the market. It has been preserved beautifully behind glass in a high-end, custom professional frame.
