Ruane Manning "Manhattan Memories" Large Textured Gallery-Wrapped Canvas – 28.5" x 18.5"
LOT DESCRIPTION:
Presenting an atmospheric mid-size home decor lot featuring "Manhattan Memories" by internationally acclaimed artist Ruane Manning. This striking artwork captures the timeless allure and architectural majesty of the historic Brooklyn Bridge set against a soft, impressionistic New York City skyline.
The piece is executed as a high-quality commercial canvas giclée, elevated by a specialized, clear textured gel overlay applied over the print. This premium technique follows the contours of the bridge towers and cables, beautifully mimicking the heavy impasto and visible brushstrokes of a genuine hand-painted oil work. The piece includes the artist’s authentic printed signature in the lower right corner.
Constructed as a gallery-wrapped canvas stretched over machine-cut wooden support bars, it features cleanly finished black sides, allowing it to be hung immediately without an external frame.

ARTIST BIOGRAPHY:
Born in Philadelphia in 1938, Ruane Manning is an internationally celebrated American painter and sculptor known for his meticulous detailing, mastery of light, and deep reverence for his subject matter. After studying formal illustration and design at the Philadelphia Museum of Art, Manning spent his early professional career as a highly successful advertising artist. He won early accolades from the Philadelphia Art Alliance, and by 1960 earned global recognition after receiving a major commission to paint a portrait of Sir Winston Churchill.
While highly regarded for his striking wildlife and natural world series featured by the Franklin Mint and Danbury Mint, Manning's urban landscape and Americana collections are highly sought after for commercial decor. His unique capability to diffuse light through mist and water gives his cityscape works—like this iconic Brooklyn Bridge composition—a deeply nostalgic, tranquil rhythm
