Westmoreland Milk Glass Hen on Nest

Westmoreland Milk Glass Hen on Nest A vintage white milk glass covered dish featuring a hen resting on a woven basket base, with a hand-painted red comb and eye. Hen on nest dishes have been produced by various American glass companies since the late 19th century. Westmoreland Glass Company, based in Pennsylvania, became particularly famous for its milk glass patterns, including this iconic design, which served as both functional kitchenware for storing small items and decorative collectibles for farmhouse-style decor.
