All materials used were recycled or natural ie: Bamboo Fitted with Audio Technica Stylus adjustable tonearm, and can be connected to any reciever, or wireless headphones, or wired speakers, wireless speakers, and computer for recording. It sounds good to me If a higher end stylus is fitted while the turntable is connected via proper rca cables to a stereo it will sound even better than it does now, and it sounds decent. Reason: More expensive stylus have cut diamonds which contour and fit the record grooves better, the needle touches more of the groove resulting in more vibrations collected, resulting in sound with greater depth. More subtle softer sounds get transmitted resulting in even better sounding LP playback. So save $500.00 or more while buying this turntable along with a nicer $100.00 needle, and connect it to your reciever and enjoy! Or, spend extra for a nice sounding record player with a mediocre needle that has no extras and won't make much, if any, noticeable difference in sound in the $400 to $1000 dollar price range when connected to a recievers phono section.
