Rare Antique Art Deco Folding Lorgnette 935 Silver & Chain
$200
For sale is a stunning, high-purity .935 silver folding lorgnette (opera glasses) from the Art Deco era (circa 1920s–1930s). This is a functional piece of jewelry, beautifully crafted and in excellent mechanical condition.
Maker: Clearly hallmarked "RUHOMA" on the bridge. This was a specialized European manufacturer known for precision optical goods during the early 20th century.
Material: Stamped "935", which is a higher silver content than standard sterling silver (.925). This high-grade silver was a luxury standard in Germany and Switzerland.
Mechanical Condition: The spring-loaded folding mechanism is fully functional. The lenses snap open smoothly and lock firmly into place.
Design Details: Features an ornate Art Deco bridge and comes with its original long-link silver chain, allowing it to be worn as an elegant pendant.
Visual Condition: The silver has a beautiful aged patina. Lenses are intact and clear. There are some scratches on the lens, which is to be expected considering its age.
This is a highly collectible heirloom piece, perfect for collectors of vintage eyewear, silver, or unique Art Deco accessories.
