Artist: W. Chapell is known for producing high quality" furniture" or "decor" art during the Mid 20th century, often selling through department stores or galleries in Ontario. While not a "listed" a fine artist with high auction records, his work is well regarded for its nostalgic, peaceful Canadian aesthetic. Medium: Oil or Acrylic on canvas. The visable texture impasto on the flowers indicating it was painted with a palette knife. It is housed in vintage wooden frame with a gold tone inner lip and a linen textured matting, consistent with framing styles from the 1960s or 1970s. Condition: The canvas appears to be in good structural shape, held by original staples on a wooden stretcher. Dimensions: 20x24 and ready to hang.
