Selling a pair of genuine Ashford Classic Hand Carders made from solid Silver Beech hardwood. These are the regular/classic size (approx. 8.5" x 5" head, with 5" comfortable turned handles). Condition: Excellent, very gently used. The wood is clean, and the stainless steel wire teeth are straight and perfectly intact on the flexible red rubber backing. Specs: 72 PPSI (points per square inch), which is the standard ideal size for carding wool and most medium-to-long staple spinning fibers. Features: Beautifully curved backs for a more ergonomic, comfortable, and rhythmic carding motion to create perfect rolags for hand-spinning. Retails new in Canada for around $125 + tax/shipping.
