This striking piece features outstretched wings, finely carved feather detailing, and realistic glass eyes, giving it a lifelike and powerful presence. According to the original manufacturer tag, each eagle was individually hand carved by skilled artisans, with a multi-week process involving carving, drying, and hand finishing—making every piece unique. Likely from 1970s–1990s. The underside retains the original “Handcarved Eagle – Sea Arts” stamp along with attached paperwork noting size, material, and what appears to be an artisan signature, adding to its authenticity and collectible appeal. The original label also includes a Calgary address from a now-defunct carving studio, further enhancing its vintage provenance. Likely carved from acacia or a similar hardwood, showcasing beautiful natural grain patterns throughout the body and base. In very good vintage condition overall. Minor age-related wear consistent with hand-carved wood. There are natural grain lines and light surface checking visible on the talons, which are cosmetic and do not affect the structure.
