Secretariat Drawing by Stan Fenelle circa 1973
$100
Measuring about 13” x 17” and about 1/2” thick.
This artwork features artist ‘Stan Fenelle’ drawing of Secretariat and the only other eight (8) horses to ever win the Kentucky Derby, The Preakness, and the Belmont Stakes (Triple Crown).
Secretariat, strapping chestnut that he was, was the first winner in over 25 years to win the Triple Crown.
Secretariat won the Derby by 2.5 lengths, in a record setting 1:59:-2/5.
The Three year old son of Bold Ruler went on to another victory at Preakness.
But what he did next is the most spectacular, winning the Belmont by a colossal 31 lengths and taking 2-3/5 seconds off of the previous clock record.
Secretariat’s prize winning stride covered just shy of 25 feet.
Secretariat, was a majestic red brute with muscles on muscles, and is shown here in a handsome portrait by artist Stan Fenelle. The print is reproduced to retain the most minute details of the original art, making it a print one can be proud to display.
