Up for sale, Dukes of Hazzard: Racing for Home (PC, 2000). The box was opened, but the game was never played and is still in mint condition. Asking $30. Thank you!
Yee-haw! Strap on those seatbelts and prepare yourself for a wild ride -- Dukes of Hazzard: Racing for Home features full-throttle racing across the dusty trails of Hazzard County. While outrunning the authorities as either Luke or Bo Duke, you'll complete a series of missions (27 in all) such as taking mortgage payments to the bank, rescuing Uncle Jesse from no-good criminals, and saving Daisy from kidnappers.
The game's overall story leads to the ultimate goal of thwarting Black Jack Perril. Armed with high-octane vehicles you'll demolish roadblocks, launch over rivers, and blaze through gravel and dirt terrain. Vehicles include tow trucks and pickup trucks, patrol cars, the General Lee, the Double Zero, and Boss Hogg's Gray Ghost. Course locations include Uncle Jesse's farm, Kissin' Cliff, Cooter's garage, Rhuebottom's General Delivery & Dry Goods, the Sumner Farm, Razorback Ridge, and Possum Hollow.
Power-ups are strewn about each location and range from dynamite arrows and nitrous boosts to vehicular enhancements, spare tires, and slick oil. Pay attention to those around you - your vehicle will take significant damage upon collisions. Although some accidents are unavoidable, you can repair the vehicle at the expense of lap time. Additionally, law enforcers will pull you over while you're administering vehicular repairs.
Dukes of Hazzard: Racing for Home features a number of gameplay options including the Time Trial, Race, and Run the Jug modes. There are multiplayer options supporting up to six players battling it out via LAN or the Internet. Developed by Sinister Games, Dukes of Hazzard: Racing for Home features celebrity voice acting courtesy of Tom Wopat, James Best, Sonny Shroyer, Ben James, and Waylon Jennings -- all from the Dukes of Hazzard television series. In addition to three difficulty settings (Easy, Tuff, and Hard), the soundtrack features country rockers The Tractors. There are also four camera views including an internal first-person viewpoint and multiple third-person chase angles.
