1979 Suzuki GS 1000

** send your phone number for a response ** Please read the complete ad, bike is located in Maple Ridge. Starts and runs, battery is weak and will need replacing. BC registration in my name rebuilt title. Ideally suited for a project, I have a fair number of GS 1000 parts that may also be available. It is a 1979 Suzuki GS 1000 E ( manufactured 7/ 78 ) Modified years ago by the previous owner from standard with GS 1100 parts ( swing arm, wheels, brakes etc ) Head was gas flowed, adjustable camshaft sprockets, 2.2 ohm Dyna coils, silicone leads, electronic ignition system. Original 4 into 2 exhaust system ( there is damage where the link pipe crosses from left to right at the bottom of the headers ( see pics for condition ) Standard GS 1000 fitment slide carbs and aftermarket pods. Runs well but brakes are very poor, it's likely fork oil on the front discs as there is lever pressure. I have only " test rode " it, good power, but no stopping power, if a buyer wants to ride it it will be full purchase price cash in hand, no exceptions. These 2 valve motors have plenty of torque. Tank has some chips by the filler cap, inside the tank seems in great condition. Bike was likely originally blue, the black is definitely a respray. Needs a new owner to give it some attention, selling due to the usual " too many projects " scenario. No rush to sell
