Vintage Alfred Mainzer Cat Postcards from the 1940s-1950s
$5
Vintage Alfred Mainzer Cat Postcards from the 1940s-1950s.
If you are new to these, google them!
9 different designs available. These whimsical cards feature cats all dressed up in period costumes, riotously pursuing leisure activities. Full of complex detail, many have a sense of impending disaster, a simple event unravelling into a cascade of errors.
The ones I'm offering are the early cards, which still had the lovely scalloped edges. The scalloped edges were costlier to produce, so later editions were cropped to common straight-edged rectangles which were cheaper to make. These early ones with the scalloped edges are more valued by collectors.
π· See photos (expand them to zoom in). You can let me know which cards you'd like using the numbers at the sides.
π These are 5.5" x 3.5" and have the Alfred Mainzer name and logo on the back.
No envelopes (they didn't come with them).
π In as-new condition.
$5 each. Firm, no lowballing please! You can check them out online to see what they go for.
π Pick up from Yonge & St Clair, or I can post them to you (at cost, which wouldn't be much)
