Tibetan Resin Buddha Statue Shakyamuni 13.5 cm Buddha figurine reddish brown. It is believed that Buddha Gautama had 550 incarnations to distinguish him from the former and future Buddhas, he is referred to as the lion of the Sakya gender, the son of King Suddhodana and the Queen Mayadevi. He was born in Lumbini in 563 BC. With the intention to find the cause of all suffering, he gained enlightenment under a Bhodi tree after 6 years of fasting and meditation. He worked for 45 years on the Indian subcontinent with his charitable teaching. He died at the age of 80 years in Kusinagara. He is depicted with an alms bowl in the left hand, the right hand he holds in the gesture of earth touch (bhumispasa).
