Pair of Vintage 1970s Space Age Side Tables

A fabulous pair of vintage Space Age side tables with sculptural hourglass pedestal bases, square glass tops and a creamy ivory finish. The dramatic geometric silhouettes are pure 1970s, with a futuristic, almost architectural quality. Each table features a recessed glass top with a deep, bowl-like interior beneath it, perfect for displaying books, records, photographs or other favourite objects. Equally fabulous flanking a sofa, beside lounge chairs or used as low cocktail tables. The unusual shapes make them statement pieces even without anything displayed inside. Lightweight moulded plastic construction with removable glass tops. Dimensions (each): 22” W × 22” D × 13.5” H Vintage condition with age-appropriate wear, including some surface marks, minor chips to the finish and discolouration inside the recessed compartments.
