    2006 50th Anniversary Yamaha R1 Motorcycle

    Vehicles & Parts ·

    $11,500

For sale is my 2006 50th Anniversary Limited Edition Yamaha Yzf- R1 motorcycle with a number of performance additions and stands for $11,500.00. I’m the 2nd Owner and have owned this beauty from approximately 1000kms. Nicknamed Rumble Bee she has not been ridden in 2024 due to a concussion I received at work late last year 2023. I don’t need to sell it… but… it’s a shame shes not being enjoyed. She is loud, tests your nerve, experience, and sometime sensibilities. Rumble Bee is a bike that always gives you more than what you may expect!!! I also have the matching Belstaff race leathers (Two Piece), a Speed and Strength Jacket, Alpine Stars Race Boots and High Tops (pretty much Brand New) are available as well for sale. WARNING: This is not a motorcycle for new, novice or intermediate riders. It has never been used for track days, 90% highway driving. It’s fast, agile and unforgiving if you are not an experienced rider. The 50th anniversary R1 donned a special tricolor livery comprising OG Yamaha racing colors - yellow, white, and black. Yamaha also equipped the special edition with bespoke fully adjustable Ohlins suspension at both ends, tuned by none other than Yamaha’s MotoGP engineers. In addition, the bike rolled on top-shelf forged aluminum Marchesini wheels, which were 450 grams lighter, a back-torque-limiting clutch, and an integrated lap timer. For the United States, Yamaha only made 500 units. I have also added the Two Brothers Carbon Fibre Exhaust, braided lines, shorty adjustable levers, dark tint windscreen and more. Adding to the HP output, set in motion by a six-speed manual transmission and with a dry weight of 174 kg (384 lbs), the bike reached a top speed of 288 kph (179 mph) when stock. It goes without saying the Ohlins suspension and the forged wheels were put in place to make it handle better than ever and bring it closer to the riding experience of the YZR-M1, which we completely believe it will. Yamaha kept away from up-speccing the 998cc, inline-four engine which made over 170 horsepower. The only engine-wise notable upgrade was the addition of a slipper clutch to the six-speed gearbox, helping make downshifts smoother. Apart from this, the 2006 R1 boasted a radical design with twin projector headlights and twin underseat exhausts. This design still ranks among the most iconic and popular motorcycle designs, even after nearly 20 years of its existence. The cockpit, meanwhile, had a semi-digital instrument cluster with all the necessary readouts and no electronic rider aids. Current mileage: 27108kms Braided lines Two Brothers Exhaust Valves checked in 2023 Replaced stator, battery in 2023 Super Clean bike Never been dropped No accidents Cash only NO TRADES, NO TEST PILOTS (unless cash is in my hand and you have insurance to cover yourself) Only ever used 94 Octane Gas No leaks anywhere. Runs amazing with no issues. Always stored indoors. Serious enquiries only please. I have all receipts for this bike maintenance
