highly substantial 20-inch bronze Buddha statue in the traditional Bhumisparsha (Earth Witness) Mudra. This is a heavy, thick-walled bronze piece showing excellent craftsmanship, not a cheap modern replica or resin casting. Style & Iconography: Classic Sukhothai/Ayutthaya period artistic influence. Features sinuous proportions, elongated fingers, and a long bifurcated robe ending at the waist. Notable auspicious lakshana markings (flower/wheel motifs) are cast directly into the resting left palm and the sole of the foot. Construction: Authentic lost-wax (cire perdue) casting. The figure is completely seamless with no vertical mold lines on the body, confirming a single continuous metal pour. Condition: Beautiful aged dark patina with authentic green verdigris oxidation settled into the crevices and folds. The base is completely hollow and retains the gritty, mineralized clay casting core residue from the foundry.
