Wall ACs (Through-the-Wall) Installation: Requires cutting a hole in the wall and installing a sleeve, usually requiring professional help. Pros: More energy-efficient, quieter, more secure (no window obstruction), and generally lasts longer (10–12 years). Cons: Higher upfront cost ($400–$1,000+), permanent, and requires a dedicated, sealed sleeve. 230v needed 115v cannot use. Brand new from Walmart. Needed for our family but can't use.
