Dr Who Retro Dalek - Wheeled - Halloween/Comic Con Expo/ Cosplay

    Games & Hobbies ·

    $80

This is a custom made Dalek in the theme of the original Doctor Who (campy) series. This Dalek has been first bumped & signed by Matt Smith himself. (See photos) This Dalek comes with new Four-Wheeled casters so that it is easy to move around. It can be made to come apart in three sections for transportation. It fits easily in the back of my 2012 Traverse. It was designed to fit my tall 8-12 year old son. He enjoyed this costume for many years. Every time he approached anyone at a costume, Comic-Con, or Halloween event, everyone would back off in terror. (Fear of Daleks is apparently universal, lol) He was always delighted. There are two ways to get into the costume: A. Lift the middle section off the bottom. Then lift the person into the costume. Reinstall the top of the costume. B. There is a door at the back of the costume. The costume wearer can slide into the costume. Then someone can reinstall the door at the rear of the costume. (See photos for rear door) The costume is roomy, and easy to see through. My son never crashed into anyone. It is difficult to interact with displays - I always found this beneficial since it saved me money. The Top section is 43in in circumference. The middle section is 55in in circumference. The bottom section is approximately 98in in circumference. The costume is 68 in tall. When standing inside. The little lightson top add a bit more height. (In some of the photos the Dalek does not have the wheels installed) The costume comes with many extra craft balls to repair the lower sections of the silver bulbs part of the Dalek if necessary. This is an incredibly robust costume, made of hard industrial plastic. The only parts of the costume that are a little fragile are the silver bulbs, since they are made of craft foam. The bulbs at the top lit up & likely need new batteries. The Blue "Death Ray" needs a new Dollar Store light - I can provide this if necessary. The parts to make this costume originally cost me over $200. It breaks our heart to sell this much beloved costume, but my son has outgrown it and we are moving.
