Heritage MCM Solid Wood Neoclassical End Table

This Classic Heritage End Table is sturdy and solidly constructed. Recently refinished in a mat sage green with gold accents to highlight the beautiful original brass hardware and the classic fluted leg design. The top does have some dark rings left by cups but the gorgeous matchbook rosewood veneer top has been protected with a new shellac French polish to help prevent further marking. It is likely that the rigs could be sanded out and the top refinished but I chose not to do so as I didn’t want to sand through the veneer and did the work in an apartment. The piece has one solidly dovetailed drawer, branded on the inside with the original makers mark, and which has been waxed and lined with a lovely grey damask peel and stick protective liner-paper which is removable if the new owner wishes to change the look. This is a beautiful and functional heirloom piece made by a well known and respected American furniture manufacturer from solid hardwoods that will last for generations if taken care of.
