Large Vintage 60s MidCentury Art Glass Chalet Lorraine Vase

I have always called this a 'star bowl' as with its 5 points it gives that organic starfish feel. This piece is not signed,as so many of these just came with stickers that have long since been washed away. It is either a Chalet or a Lorraine - either way - both desirable vintage Canadian Art glass. With it's rich mouthwatering electric red you know it's from the groovy 60s. Treat yourself to a real piece of Mid Century Modern 'Glass Glamour'. These glass pieces with their wonderful organic shapes were produced in the artistic 60's in Montreal Canada and quickly spread their love around the world. The glass blowers were brought in from Murano, Italy as they had experience and skill in this kind of challenging artistic glass blowing work. These grande glass beauties are getting harder and harder to find - especially in such perfect condition as this one is. Over the years…and it has been around 70 years…I am sure many have been lost to moves and accidents.This beauty is in the highly desired fantastic mouthwatering deep red with clear accents and it is flawless. Not a chip or a fleabite - not even a scratch - even inside the bottom of the bowl - it is perfect. All five points are without a faults and it is very heavy for it's size - which is 10" x 4.50" - the weight is just a touch over 5 pounds. This vase would create a real focal point on a living room or dining room table - whenever it catches the light it simply 'glows' with warmth - you don't see that much in the newer glass.
