Antique Art Nouveau “Butterfly Woman” Figurine — Lucien Alliot

Beautiful antique Art Nouveau figurine of a slender woman with butterfly wings in her hair — a “butterfly woman” / Phalène motif, an allegory of Psyche (the soul). Classic turn-of-the-century decorative sculpture. Details: • Weight 1,7 kg — solid and substantial • Cast spelter (metal alloy) with a silver-gold finish • Marked on the base (cast lettering) • Lovely detail on the face, wings, drapery and decorative base. Important: It is signed on the base by famous French sculptor Lucien Alliot. The name of the statue is Phalène. Although, I’m unable to tell if this signature is original or this figurine is a late copy of his work. I’ve attached the screenshot from the auction house for the similar work.
