First edition, October 2010. The upper spine has a tear but it's been fixed. All pop-ups and pull-outs are in good condition, with a couple of minor issues that have also been fixed. It doesn't talk; you might need to replace the batteries, but I'm not 100% sure. It has been read a few times. As with any used item, expect some signs of wear and tear. It's a great value for the price!
