Squire Starcaster to save my dad’s marriage

From my father: “I love this guitar. I hate that I have to sell it. It's a brand new Squire Starcaster, Fender's answer to the ES-335. I bought it as a demo, so the only minor blemish is a slight mark on the back from Sav, guys playing it in store. It still has the protective plastic on the pickups. It's over $500 plus tax retail. The finish is a stunning candy-apple red (which is now a rare colour). Even the headstock is amazing! So why am I selling it? I need to sell this to save my marriage. My wife went away for the weekend and I impulsively bought this guitar. She will not understand that I need an 11th axe. My loss is your gain. I like being married. Please help me. $400.
