Beautifully framed plate by American born Canadian artist Trisha Romance who now resides in Niagara-on-the-lake, Ontario. Recipient of the Order of Canada (Canada’s highest honour) as well as a one time Canadian Artist of the Year, Trisha Romance is an illustrator and painter. Her work commonly features domestic settings, family events, and holiday scenes, "ideals in family life", reminiscent of artists in the American Scene Painting tradition. In this case, a mother holding her new baby called ‘Mother’s Arms’. The plate can be easily removed from its lovely frame, or can be hung as is from the wire on the frame.
