Beautiful 1950’s Columbia by Westfield Three Star Deluxe bicycle, all original. Every part of this fantastic bike is original, including the paint and decals. I believe this bike is from 1955. It has the “gas tank” horn (untested), spring fork, locking fork (has original key and it works), front “spaceship” headlight (untested) and integral kickstand. Original leather seat with big springs. It has the original 26” wheels with original Goodyear All Weather Airwheel tires that have minor cracking / crazing but have great tread and ride well. I have seen a set of these tires alone sell for over 100$ on an auction site. Bike has the original rear rack but unfortunately the rear light assembly is missing. Has Bendix brand rear brake. Has original Columbia branded grips. Bike works well, I pedaled it around the block a few times. The paint finish has oxidation and dirt. I cleaned a few spots that I thought were mostly paint oxidation, but it was mostly grime that came off easily. I will leave it to the next owner to clean and restore it. These bikes are getting REALLY hard to find, especially in original condition. Come take a look. Incredible diamond in the not-so-rough.
