Made in Japan 70s Yamaha Orthodynamic Stereo Headphones Model HP-1 Mario Bellini design. Inspired in part by Pink Floyd's Dark Side Of The Moon, Yamaha’s HP-1 stereo headphones, introduced in 1976, combined a new technology—"planar magnetic drivers"—with a simple, stylish design from designer Mario Bellini who would go on to become one of the most celebrated designers of the 20th century. These headphones are comfortable, beautiful, and produce a rich full sound. Lots of low end, very present mids, and a warm balance, even over long listening sessions Yamaha Headphones from 1976. Yamaha's first mass produced audiophile Orthodynamic phones, designed by Mario Bellini an italian designer. Beautifully built headphones with a great midrange sound, these differ from mainstream headphones because of the planar drivers. HP-1 is the top of the line/Flagship model. The HP-1 model was a special edition with Anisotropic ferrite and metal plates over the magnets.
