1970s Hungarian Embroidered Floral Hippie Boho Peasant Blouse

Authentic vintage 1970s Hungarian folk blouse, produced by a Hungarian Népművészeti Szövetkezet (Folk Art Cooperative). During the socialist era, these cooperatives were established to produce high-quality garments and preserve traditional regional embroidery/ textile arts. Top is made from lightweight white cotton with vibrant floral embroidery at the front and shoulders. It is smocked at the neckline, waist, and sleeves, with puff sleeves and a cropped length. The embroidery features traditional Hungarian style floral designs in rich red, pink, blue, burgundy and green. A beautiful piece of authentic Hungarian traditional craftsmanship that is perfect for modern cottagecore and bohemian wardrobes. Top is marked as a size 42 and fits like a modern US Medium. Pit to pit measures about 20", shoulder to bottom hem measures about 19.5", and waist measures about 15.5". All measurements taken unstretched.
